Privacy policy
Last updated: 28 October 2026. This policy describes the current static site. Update it before enabling advertising or analytics in production.
What this site stores
PyPractice does not require an account and does not run a server-side learner profile. The practice page stores the IDs of questions you have solved in your browser's localStorage under pypractice-progress-v1 for the lesson bank and pypractice-progress-bank-v1 for the full bank. A consent choice may also be stored under pypractice-consent-v1. This information stays in your browser unless you clear it.
Cookies and advertising
The default build has no advertising publisher ID configured and does not load ad scripts. If advertising is enabled, the site may use Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Where required, a consent banner asks you to accept or reject advertising cookies before ad scripts are loaded. Rejecting ads does not block the lessons or practice questions.
You can learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services at Google's partner sites page. Advertising settings can be managed at Google Ads Settings. These external links are provided for convenience; their policies are not controlled by PyPractice.
Server logs and hosting
Like most websites, the hosting provider may process standard request information such as an IP address, browser type, requested URL, and timestamp for security and reliability. The static site does not combine those logs with a learner profile. Check your hosting provider's own privacy terms before launch.
Your choices
- Clear the site's local storage in your browser to remove saved progress and consent choices.
- Use the site's consent banner, when advertising is enabled, to accept or reject ad cookies.
- Block third-party scripts with a browser extension if you prefer; lessons and practice remain usable.
Children
PyPractice is intended for a general beginner audience and is not directed at children under 13. Do not submit personal information through the site; the site has no contact form or account system.
Changes and contact
This policy may change when advertising, analytics, or hosting changes. The updated date at the top will change. Privacy questions can be sent to zzr12356@outlook.com or chuliu12356@gmail.com.
